A peek at the Peak

No assignment to Colorado Springs is complete without at least one visit to the top of Pikes Peak, named for a 19th century Army officer who claimed it could never be climbed. Turns out ole Zebulon was wrong on a few things, including that. But this year is the 100th anniversary of his hyperbolic claim. Not that anyone under the age of 10 really cared about that.
